He joined in 2022 and is responsible for day to day operations. Prior to joining Metacapital, Mr. Maquieira worked at Bank of New York Mellon as a fund accountant covering Hedge Fund clients.

He has also played rugby professionally and currently serves a coach for the Columbia University rugby team. Mr. Maquieira holds a dual B.S. in Political Science & Business (Finance) from Northeastern University.
